As a successful online business coach and mentor, I'm so excited to share all of the tricks I've learned to save you the headaches and fear that I went through!
Just 7 years ago I was working in a soul-sucking 9-5 that left me burnt out, uninspired, and feeling stuck. My stress got so bad that I knew had to get out...especially when people would stop me and ask if I was having an anaphylactic reaction, but it was actually stress. Leaving my 9-5, the safety of the salary, paid vacation and benefits was hard to leave but the moment my husband and I got pregnant, I knew my job wasn't going to be sustainable or healthy for the beautiful baby I was growing. I had no savings, no leads, and no idea what I wanted to do...but I knew it was time for me to make the leap.
Everything changed for me when I realized what was the most important to me: helping others and spreading positivity.
So, I reverse engineered what my dream job would look like and I started making connections in the online space...and quickly landed an internship for web design. I used that internship and a growth mindset to springboard into my Web Design and Digital Marketing business, before scaling into an agency and being headhunted to teach social media at a college. Within a year I had booked out my business AND my agency, landed a teaching job, and was busy growing my team and my impact.
Did I mention I did all of this with two young kids at home, in between naps and playdates?
I'd love to tell you that it's because of an exact template that I'm going to share with you, but the truth is this:
I had to find ways to make my introversion work for me, and commit to getting out of my own way first.
Once I did that, things started falling into place quickly because I had shifted my mindset to support where I was going, and the results just kept coming.
